Bobby Brown Arrested!

Bobby Brown was not driving erratically. He was actually on the cell phone and driving perfectly fine when the police pulled him over at 12:31 p.m. on Monday, March 26th. Bobby Brown is the ex-husband of the deceased singer Whitney Houston. He has released a statement through his representation regarding his arrest on March 26th that it was simply just a suspicion that he was driving under the influence.

"Everyone is innocent until proven guilty!" Well, Mr. Brown claims that he was not driving crazily or erratically. He was in fact speaking on the cell phone. Bobby Brown has not been convicted of anything associated with the incident, yet is all over the tabloids. There is a pending investigation that is underway, and the legal process will run its course. Now, the fact that he was arrested at 12:00 p.m. on a Monday for smelling of a strong odor of alcohol could easily because he is grieving the death from his estranged wife, Whitney Houston.

This is what happened. A California Highway Patrolman said officers saw Brown talking on his cell phone and pulled him over in Van Nuys, located in Los Angeles County's San Fernando Valley, exactly at 12:20 p.m. on Monday March 26, 2012. He then failed a field sobriety test. It is illegal to use a hand held device/cell phone in C.A., and also to text for that matter.

Brown was released on his own recognizance after about 2 hours of being incarcerated. The 43 year old New Edition singer has battled substance abuse along with his "Whitney," now deceased. He also had a prior conviction for a DUI in 1996. He pleaded guilty to the charge 6 years later and was sentenced to eight days in jail. In 2004, he was sentenced months after he was arrested and charged with battery.

In 2008, Mr. Brown was sentenced to a year of community service after police found searched his SUV and found that he was in possession of a small amount of cocaine.

He needs protection and help, and hopefully he'll pull through with the assistance of a great attorney.
